FORD CHALLENGE PRAGUE 29.7.2017, Triathlon in the Heart of Europe.

After the first two rounds of "testing", the Prague Triathlon race officially entered the most ambitious CHALLENGE FAMILY, the circuit that encloses the most beautiful races in the world in the medium and long distance triathlon races. The creators, all the collaborators, the race director Tomáš Vrzák, the Czech Triathlon federation represented by Tomáš Petr and Lenka Kovářová, the race ambassadors and all the partners gave it their all and the results did not disappoint. After only two editions, the race became part of the CHALLENGE circuit, giving everyone a glimpse into the world of Czech triathlon and what it’s like to race and live the center of an important city such as Prague. And just as Prague is located in the heart of Europe, the Challenge Family heart shape logo beats with a passion that has been a driving force of this fantastic event.

Around the main event there will be an Expo area 28.7. – 29.7.2017, where you can start breathing in the atmosphere, try and buy triathlon swag, and enjoy the live music, entertainment and pasta party. There will be also a race dedicated to children and a triathlon entry level race that will allow newcomers to an approachable intro to this sport - all while enjoying a unique experience. Now we are talking about the main event, where the professional triathletes will battle without shots, where we will have the pleasure of running Czech top triathletes such as Tomáš Renč, Radka Vodičková, Simona Křivánková, but also Tri Fun Fit friends and top triathletes like Filip Ospalý and Petr Vabroušek, and naturally remember our Italian athletes, unfortunately our Bruno Pasqualini, who last season was able to give us a fantastic third place, will not be present because of previous commitments. As a guest, this year we will have young Italian triathlete, Matteo Fontana, who with a great comeback to the competitions, capable of third place in the 2017 Italian championships, will give us a great run.

The FORD CHALLENGE PRAGUE half-distance race will be 1.9km of swimming in the Vltava River, characterized by strong currents and cold water. This year, both the swimming and the bicycle sections have been substantially modified and optimized, so the 90 km cycling journey will take place on a different route and made even safer. Finally, the 21km of the run, always in the center of Prague and along the banks of the Vltava River, will be completely closed to traffic, ensuring a smooth and fast track. The Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the National Theatre and its golden dome make up the boundary of the exchange zone located on the historic bridge Legií Bridge, which will serve as the center of a sporting event, where all fans and supporters will be able to try to defeat their athletes.
