Maurizio Piattoli -  and his MERAVIGLIE TRIATHLON (Wonderful Triathlon) in Prague...

I'll first take a small step back to reveal our mysterious character. It was humid and breathtaking, between the months of November and December 2012. There were rice with prawns served in a pineapple half as a flat Thai beachside separates the lagoon of Phuket from 70.3, this is where I met Maurizio Piattoli. Down to earth and always smiling, he always has the right joke for the occasion!

He's a Florentine traveler so what would you expect? My answer is ... everything !!!Over 20 years of work experience in the world of physical therapy has perfectly connected his passion for sports fatigue. Before you make up your mind about him, I would like a moment longer on some of the different aspects that struck me Maurizio: Meanwhile his nickname "TRIPAZZ" (which in Italian means "tricrazy"), says everything! His affection towards his '93 minivan, where together with sweat half Francesca goes from race to race. Triathlete from 2011, winner in 2012 of the highest number of done races in Italy (34 races) and TOP10 of the super rank in 2013 and in 2015. In Thailand we talked a lot about training methods,I remember well when Mauri in perfect Tuscan told me: "I don't do training, I just do races!". How very funny, guys! In true Tri Fit Fun style :)                                                                                                                Maurizio is also co-founder of the club MERAVIGLIE TRIATHLON (Wonderful Triathlon); he has made his Fitri tecnical qualification and all his experience available for others, thus allowing the new group to grow and have a chance to follow their goals with fun and satisfaction, providing excellent results for children and adults. Finally the last part of the data, Maurizio was also the winner in his age group at the Tuscany Cup (all distances), in 2012, 2013 and 2015, he is definitely a local tough cookie to beat, and we like the fact that he succeeds with the smile of a happy teenager!                                                                                 When I saw him again several years later, with his same unbridled enthusiasm, it made me very happy and when we asked him to take part as a guest at 70.3 TRIEXPERT TRIPrague as Tri Fun Fit partners, he smiled with a resounding "yes!"; the decision didn’t take long time!

He is an athlete who has done everything from long cycling races like Ironbike and the Paris-Brest-Paris, to 'fire Ironman in Lanzarote, passing through hundreds of races of all distances and even a full extreme distance in the mountains.                                                                     

He will now be measured with the street circuit which will be staged July 30, 2016 in the beautiful setting of the center of the Czech capital of Prague! It will be a reunion between friends and a new opportunity to give the best of themselves.

You'll find Maurizio at the Expo area of the race, so go ahead!

We will be dying with laughter, smiles, and fun!
